CARE FOR THE PERSON
Your information.
Lumen stores the information needed to support parish learning: learner names, language preferences, group memberships, course assignments, lesson completion dates, knowledge check submissions, written responses, review scores and feedback, communication contacts and preferences, and leader account details. Parish administrators can see their parish’s records. Leaders can see the learners in their assigned groups. The Lumen owner manages parish accounts and can access parish workspaces for administration; these actions are recorded.
Space for reflection
Personal prayer and reflection are yours. Lumen does not ask learners to submit private reflections. Knowledge check answers and written assessment responses are saved with the learning record for grading, feedback, and leader review. The learner and authorized parish leaders can access these submissions. Keep personal prayer and private journaling in your own space.
Accounts and access
Learning codes are reusable across devices until reset. Learners can see their code in their profile; parish administrators can view and reset it. Display copies are encrypted in storage. Resetting a code revokes all sessions. Signing out ends the current device session. Sessions expire after 60 days. Earlier codes remain valid and gain a display copy at sign-in; signed-in learners can create a visible replacement from their profile.
Storage and requests
The platform uses Vercel hosting and private file storage, Neon PostgreSQL, and Neon Auth for leader accounts. Ask the parish leader who enrolled you to correct your information or request account removal. Optional guardian and learner communication contacts are kept with recorded permissions. Records remain until the parish administrator removes them. Only upload resources you have permission to share.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your selected parish. Lumen does not include advertising or analytics trackers. Course authors may include external images, links and video providers. Embedded video players load when you choose to play them; those providers have their own privacy practices.
